About the College

St. Joseph’s College for Women (Autonomous), affiliated to Andhra University, the first Women’s college in north coastal Andhra Pradesh, with its unique ethos of trained resourcefulness and excellence has been creating generations of empowered women who are spread all over the world.

Founded in July 1958 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy, the college responds to the local need for women's higher education. Being the first to initiate the semester system, currently our 24 departments offer fourteen undergraduate programs.
